ARTWORK USAGE POLICY
1. The Artist retains all rights to the piece of artwork, including the right to make any merchandise, subject to any rights held by third-party copyright owners.
2. The Artist’s work may not be used for commercial purposes and cannot be redistributed or reproduced for commercial use by anyone but the Artist. Others may not make any profit off of the piece, which includes but is not limited to digital prints, physical items, merchandise, using it for commissions, etc. unless otherwise agreed upon.
3. The Artist does not claim any rights to any intellectual property or character(s) belonging to another copyright holder. The Artist does, however, retain the rights to their specific artwork and artistic interpretation. Copyright owners retain the right to ask the Artist to take down work containing their intellectual property at their own discretion, and the artist will comply.
4. The Artist’s artwork may be used as a profile picture, banner/header for personal use, with credit to the Artist (Cole Alexander or @colealexart). Credit must be clear and easy to find. Credit should not be hidden, removed, or deliberately separated from the artwork. Others are welcome to use Artist’s work as a phone or desktop wallpaper.
5. Others may not repost the Artist’s artwork, even with credit. Others may not upload Artist’s work to any other site such as Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Artist retains the right to ask for removal of the artwork even if credited in a caption or on the piece itself. Sharing, retweeting, reblogging or otherwise using a platform’s built-in sharing feature on the Artist’s original post is permitted and is not considered reposting, provided the original Artist’s post remains attached.
6. Others may not claim the Artist’s artwork as their own work or claim anybody but the Artist (colealexart) made it.
7. Others may not edit, colour correct, tweak, remove the watermark or make any other changes to the artwork. Cropping or resizing solely where necessary for permitted profile picture, banner or wallpaper use is allowed. Others may not use generative AI to expand or extend the Artist’s work beyond its original boundaries.
8. The Artist’s work may not be traced, copied, redrawn or otherwise reproduced and presented as somebody else’s original artwork.
9. The Artist’s artwork may not be used as part of a business, brand, advertisement, product, website, logo, merchandise, promotional material or other commercial project without explicit permission from the artist.
10. Permission to use one piece of artwork does not automatically grant permission to use any other artwork by the Artist.
11. The Artist’s artwork may not be used in any blockchain-related technology, including NFTs, cryptocurrency, or future inventions in the space.
12. The Artist’s artwork may not be used in any AI training or tweaked with generative AI in any way whatsoever.
13. The Artist reserves the right to request the removal of their artwork where it has been used in any way that breaches this Usage Policy.
